FDNY Marine Simulator

ZHL was selected to design and construct a state-of-the-art Shipboard Fire Simulator for the Fire Department of New York at the Fire Academy on Randall's Island, NY. The four-story, 132-foot-long simulator, named "Port Security," prepares FDNY members to protect New York City's 520 miles of coastline. Training scenarios include engine room fires, galley fires, oil tanker emergencies, and deck fires, using gas-based, Class A, and digital fire technologies. This project reflects ZHL's commitment to delivering custom, mission-critical training infrastructure that directly impacts the safety of first responders and the communities they serve.
